A DUI charge is a legal charge for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This charge is typically given to individuals who are found to be impairede and/or have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) above the legal limit while operating a vehicle. In some cases, a DUI charge may also be given for driving under the influence of prescription medications or illegal drugs. A DUI charge can result in fines, license suspension or revocation, and even jail time, depending on the severity of the offense and the individual’s prior record.
