Commonwealth v. J.H. – Dedham District Court (Mass State Police)

Client was directed to the screening are of a sobriety checkpoint in Framingham, Massachusetts by State Police. Officer approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Officer also observed the client’s eyes to be red and glassy and his movements were lethargic. Client admitted to having a drink when asked and the officer noted his speech was slurred. Officer administered a series of field sobriety tests. Client failed all assessments and was placed under arrest.
